Ravi-Piaggio Storm-125 Euro II bike

Hi all !

hope you guys are having fun.
I went for my bikes check up as it was giving black smoke from cilencer due to too much fule being passed un burnt.
they guy checked and suggested the fuel to be faulty and honestly I agree with him.
but guess what, he told me to run the bike frreely as I wish n get the carbon out of the system. so on my way back I tested the bike for the first time and its not bad rather its responsive.
I have done 145 during running at the speed of 45-50 max 55.
but now on the way back it was like
gear 1 - 20
gear 2 - 40
gear 3 - 65
gear 4 - 85
gear 5 - 95 and the Road ended and I didnt feel like taking it more than that on the first run either
this was done while still not puting the bike under stress.
so I hope it shall respond well when Im done with the running n oil change n tuning.

so what do you guys say.

after running adjust ur mixture settings ,when they are right ur bike will respond more, but dont push it that much in running period.
if u speak to me i have a little bit low fuel settings now a days in city to achieve economy , so my bike goes to 105 in 5th gear and 115 in 4th gear,
it all depends upon ur petrol settings to achieve the max speed

never knew ur understanding is a little low , the thing im telling is that due to low mixture settings speed is low in 5th gear , coz in city i want economy , but if i turn the mixture screw half turn out then it goes to 120 in 5th , got it ?
or u need more simple words ?

yeh ravi storm ke new cheez pata chale hai. now it even has an overdrive gear. 5th gear overdrive hai. wah wah
yaar maine kal ravi ki race lagai thi ek honda cbr600rr, ravi won by 10 bike's length. those who dont believe me are fools who only want a durable and time tested bike like cg125 but are not 'clever like you and me' to try these chinese turds

p.s. umer bhai mujhe bhi ravi dealer ka number do, main bhi paise ke liye es ko pakwheels par promote karna chahta hoon. yaar i know i qualify for the job coz i know how to make multiple IDs

LOLZ.......its funny to see how people make fun of each other just because of a bike. Its all about one's experience with a product. If someone has a good experience and shares that, I dont think that anyone should have an issue with that. Its the freedom of speech for both parties. Chill out people. Respecting eachother while making a comment is important.

I would some what agree with yo but it will be too soon from my side to lay a final verdict from my end as my bike is still in its running period.

i had starting problem,but the problem was due to defected bettry,now i have canged the bettry and problem has been solved.its better to have suzuki gs 150 bettry in ur piaggio rather then its own china bettry the second thing i changed its china spark plug with NGK plug

i once asked the price of that china battery and its around 2200/-
plus i have seen users having bike more than years old with the same battery without any problem
i myself have completed one year without any problem, i think u may have gotten some defective piece

Chinese Battery being used in Storm 125 is far better than of National's 12N8 or 12N9 which comes as a stock battery with Suzuki GS 150.

so in other terms u r saying that ravi is also providing defected pieces to there customers,dear its not the only problem i faced,there are so many that u already know but for the other pw user i wana explan it furtur.
problem that i face in my piaggio
1 starting problem (due to defected bettry)
2 top speed under 100
3 broken rpm and throttle cable
4 fuel leakage direct from tank
5 jerks when releasing the clutch
6 fuel avg not more then 40 km per litter within lhr

yar someboby tell me y my bike dosent go beyond 8rpm in 4th and 5th gear while its top speed @ 8rpm was 100km.it goes to 11 rpm in 3rd gear and speed @ that time is 80km

yes similar is mine experience with this battery , just top up ur water level and it can last for more than 2 years without any problem

yaar china maal = third class quality = bad bike

pakistani bikes = better quality = a better bike

people ask is honda 125 dlx worth 1+lakhs? i would say that since rupee is falling in value, prices are increasing. so while honda increased its prices to maintain its quality, compaines like ravi kept prices same (or even lowered them) at the expense of reduced quality. if one has more money then they should definitely go for honda, but if u cannot afford 125 dlx then go for suzuki, as it is far better than ravi. only go for piaggio if u have free money and do not care what happens to ur bike 1 year down the road.
