Mate as mentioned earlier, toyota genuine b-1j/2b (diesel) engine has been selected after all the pros and cons being taken into account of other contesting engines namingly 1kz, 2jz and its own the mighty 2f.

^ As a matter of fact part of it did, not from the assembly line though but, from"THE LAB".
It's a genuine B-1j/2B series 3200cc Diesel engine measured at STD Before the Overhauling.

The engine is too beautiful to install under the bonnet and away from sight!
It's a work of engineering art, you really need to have a transparent bonnet to do justice to this engine, beautiful work done.

One question... the army auctioned FJ40s do not have a hard top. Where did you get yours and for how much ?

What is your color of choice for this "godzilla" ?

You mentioned that your engine displaces 3200cc. Did you actually measure the bore and the stroke to get that number? The reason I ask is because the side of the block says B, which should mean that it's a 2800cc motor. 1B was 3000cc, 2B 3200cc and 3B 3400cc. I have a Jeep CJ7 with exactly the same engine you've pictured (B with inline plunger fuel pump) and it actually produces very decent power. I also have another CJ7 with a late model B with a rotary style fuel pump and that one is a complete dog even though it's got better gearing.

You are right about the soft top thing. Well, Got the Hard Top from "Astabal" for an amount on a higher side compared with the market reason being it was totaly genuine, rust free and clean. The normal market for kabuli hard tops is between 30 to 35.
About the colour choice, you are going to see it shortly....

Bro my Bad. Am sorry for misstating the engine displacement reason being I myself am new to the Group! Once again ma apologies...
The Engine is of B series known as 1B-J a modified/upgraded version of 1B with exact displacement of 2,997cc.
