i know a guy who does that. his shop is near lalukhait dakhana. his shop is on the road going from dak khana to old sabzi mandi, there is nihari house on the left named muhammdi nihari, he sits in gali. ask anyone about mani chrome wala, u can easily go there.

i will find if i had his number.

all the bolts on the door hinges are painted in body colour as they are painted with doors installed at the factory.

The only 2 or 3 bolts you see in yellow zinc galvanize are the door holder bolts - make sure to use threadlock on them when reinstalling otherwise they will rattle.

The striker plate and the two screws holding it are usual silver shade zinc plated - they would require an impact driver to remove and install.

What bolts are you trying to coat? - btw manghopir, bihar colony, al asif sq, godhra (near sunday scrap market), all have these small "kaarkhanay" doing such jobs. - much better competition and pricing.

There are tons and tons of them in Karachi.

This has relays and connections that were never in the Pakistani sold khybers, e.g. the meter lamp check relay etc.

@miqdadkanani say your cat from distant today , your front right fender seems black in color still , wont it be covered in primer too, as painting over it could cause difference in color , also what about the interior stuff , dashboard etc and are the panel gaps ok?

Yeah so i was planning to get those door hinges bolts chromed but realised that they have to painted the same color and paint wont stick chrome plated stuff so I dropped the idea. Just rinsing them with kerosene to get rid of mud and grease mixture.

latest update: area behind the fenders sprayed with berger auto shield. @hassantaewra what you saw yesterday was also this black thing. And yes, i will make sure primer is applied to both the fenders and bonnet as well before final paint.

plastic interior parts washed and ready to be painted/polished by the dashboard repairer.

Dashboard is also back and so are all the plastic parts.

So I found a more reasonable shop than Ikram. Ikram was charging me 10k for the dashboard repair + paint of all plastic parts. I took the items to Tahir Cushion Maker in PIB colony (can be easily searched on google maps). He charged me a total of 8k for all this.

Since installation would take time, I have covered all the items with plastic sheet that's why couldnt post a picture.

After mounting the fenders, you are supposed to spray cavity wax in the crevices, specially aiming for the top where its bolted to seal it up from moisture and then shoot it to forwards are to prevent moisture from settling and starting rust.

This is how the suzuki factory production line did it too.

8k? Have you asked breakup? Normally just interior parts gray paint cost is taken between 1.5K to 3K by different painters (Paint stuff is cheap around 600 to 700 max) Rest is their effort/Labor so if he is also doing fronst dashboard upper one Rexine and lower part in Paint, then 3K +5K might be it would be rate nowadays.

You have to send before & after pics, so that one can understand quality of work.

no, the instructions on the can read that the item could be applied directly on the metal or over a clean coat of a previous paint.

yup, the cavity wax is ready, will spray once the car is done with oven paint on Wednesday.

1) He charged me 6k for dashboard repair and paint. Will send before and after pics in a day or two IA.
2) charged me another 2k for painting all the other plastic parts (including the plastic console that I had bought)
3) no, not doing seats work from there.

Getting seats work done from Al-Irfan Seats Maker (Gurumandir). He is charging me a) 4k for all the cushioning, b) 9k for good quality rexine seat covers, c) 4.5k for floor carpet, d) 1k for nambda, e) and 4.5k for door cards.
