Now the major thing: convincing my mechanic to install the thermostat valve and fan on auto. He had connected it directly in 2010 or so i guess. Need help for a decent mechanic as well in case mine doesn't agree etc.

also, purchased berger's auto shield for 900/-. The zahabiya one was available only in 20L cans.

You need to check the health of the cooling system before installing it.

If you are adding a thermostat to a system , which has been running on tap water and direct fan etc , i would recommend you check rest of the cooling system too , maybe get a new radiator ,pour some coolant in or flush the system , last time i checked for my margalla , copper radiator was for 9.8k and almunium was i guess 7.8k from makka autos (nagan) also get your temp guage fixed or add another aftermarket one.

i just got my meter repaired from hafiz jee (asked him to specially check and set the temperature gauge). So I guess it should be fine. Plus, I got a lot of components replaced 6,7 months ago only including water pump. Radiator i last installed 2 years ago. Fan serviced and its motor replaced 6,7 months ago too. So will check the hoses and pipes. Anything else I should be careful of?

are you using tap water or coolant? if using tapwater than flush the system and add coolant.

tap water ... i read a post somewhere which explained step by step on how to flush the system properly. Can you guide me once again? I am searching for the thread too.

For 20 Mins i ran the car with tatri solution and then drained it from the radiator drain nut. [image] This came out after the flush

BTW, i think jameel autos also flush the system.
