Reborn Power Steering Leakage Issue

Dear Members,
I had recently found a leak in PS of my Reborn and went to Honda Point Near Bhata Chk DHA Lhr... the mechanic told me this is a know issue in Civic and pump kits usually gets malfuntion.... so they asked me Rs 7000/-... 3500 for the power steering kit and 3500 for the labour. The bad part is ,the propbability is 80:20.. 80 that it will not work and vice versa... i need you help to guide me if any member has had the pump fixed, since new one is Rs 30K:'(

take it to honda they have recently issued a free repair of PS feedpipe for 2008/2009 models

i have got that done from Honda.. it was the feed pipe which they are replacing free of cost in these models... however thanks i found a few posts on the same and will check with Honda in few days time.
I just need to confirm if any fellow member has had got this fixed and can giver his/her feedback.

I had the same issue with me 2007 reborn. i just PS pipe changed for 3000pkr including labor.

thanks mate.... got the same fixed last sat from Honda City Sales.. Issue was PS kit leak... As told by City Sales ppl.... there are few problems in 06-08 models:

• PS Feed Pipe
• PS Pump Kit
• PS Rack Leak Issue
• Master Door Channel
• Oil Mounting

This been fixed in later models...... I hope everthing goes now well. Ameen & Insh Allah

Is it me who was under the wrong impression that 2003 onwards, all PKDM honda's had an EPS??

Or was it only for city's??

City Sales is infact cheaper than Honda Point. Since hey quoted Rs 3500 as Labor and same for the parts, however there is no gurranty that it will work.... I opted to City Sales and they charged 2500 for the parts and same for the labor.

However as per them its a know issues in these models and they on daily fix 5-7 cars for PS Pump leak and Rack leak.
If there is a leak in the rack and pinion, they charge Rs 6500 as Labor and 6-7K for the seals for the steering assembly to be replaced.

Total estimated they quoted to a customer having both the problem is 22K (PS Pump Leak & Rack Leak) .... If any fellow member faces the same issue he can contact me i will further guide him

Expensive! and that too because of Honda's fault.

Anyone knows a permanent fix without installing EPS? Kindly inform, I am facing the same problem.
