guys can somebody tell me why 8th gen civic is known as reborn:-!? i mean it says civc at the back, whats the logic behind this name

just as the 100 series corolla is Indus corolla - while it says toyota corolla on the back.

We love to whole heartidly believe and follow what the market says, e.g. G100 charade was anda - I looked hard and could not find anda on it unless a kid threw one on it.

or foxy, till date I have not seen the name foxy on a type 1.

I believe AHL first advertisement for it said something like "civic is reborn" lol

reborn means that the old one died. All other car manufacturers say their models retire but Hondas die lol

for some reason, most of the guys who i noticed using such names were kids acting like they are some sort of experts :P, the real knowledgeable people used codes like ae101

I think these reborn etc names are a good thing. its easier to remember the shape by name instead of remembering them by year and month model.

thats one reason they like to call it that name ... well gotta agree its easier for the layman to remember cars by these names

Since civic was completely redesigned(Interior+Exterior) in 8th gen that's why thaey called is REBORN( Newly Born or re birth of civic name plate).
Only my perception don't take seriously.

In the advertisement of 8th Gen civic the word "Reborn" was used, hence it commonly got the name of Reborn.

Usually honda dealers had posters that had a silver civic on them..On that poster it was written Civic reborn May be from that it was given the name reborn

The reason it is called Reborn because at the time of launch in Pakistan where ever it was advertised on adds boards and brochures it was written

                                    All new Civic Reborn

So it is named as reborn by our dealers and the ycle started
