as you have been in romanos car you know what i mean, that thing is a tank, it just keeps on going. that's how reliable my 1303 should be since i'm trying to take it to what it should be and I desperately want to remove the stigma of these cars being unreliable and cheap.

My 68 although in need of major bodywork/paint and cosmetics is my daily driver. 

I have a list of cars I have rescued over the years! Included at the top is a Civic Vti and a brand new Alto. The latter had plastic on the seats but stranded my friends family on a main road just because it had dirty electrical contacts!!

Friends used to ridicule my bug but now their mouths are shut up tight seeing its reliability

It's probably the local mechanics that have destroyed the reputation of the Bug. Mind you, if a "well-known" electrician can't figure out a bikes electrics (and an old one at that) then normal mechanics don't have a cat in hell's chance of getting anything right. I kept adding batteries to make my indicators, lights and horn work. I'll probably have a crack at it myself the next time I'm home. I can't be worse...

let me know the model and i'll give you the wiring diagram. if you have a basic comprehension of electrical wiring then the type 1 is a joke to rewire (somthing which will be happening to my 1303 one day as i HATE the wiring in it right now).

last few days i decided to take out the 1303, poor car has been very neglected lately (but i still started it for 5 minutes every day)

now it's clean and running well,.. need a new steering box and front suspension though.

Thanks a bunch for the offer bro'! It's a 1984 Suzuki GP100, I know, I know, it's a tiddler, but it's plenty fast for me. I've got a Haynes manual for it, though I have to see if it makes any sense ^o). Because the bike specs in the manual are different to the one that I have...

i've noticed that the haynes manuals are pretty much only good for UK spec machines. it'll take some time but i think i'd be able to find some info for you,... what spec is it (PK, UK etc)?

not too sure, he just imported it a few days back from the UAE. he got it brand new so i'm guessing it probably cost a hefty amount.

Yeah it has to be. Only used car import is allowed but for an ATV or a bike it has to be a brand new one period.

It's Pakistani spec. It's 1984, front disc brake, and I think it's got CDI. The way I see it, according to the haynes manual, it's got a 125 chassis and electrics with a 100 cc engine. A bit confusing frankly.

Thanks for taking the trouble! Worst case scenario, I'll wire it up like the 125. Shouldn't cause too much of a problem. Seeing that it is a mongrel of sorts anyway...

 It wasnt me rescuing a Jap but some other member....I cant recall whom.

 Side mirrors were available in Karachi when I last checked.

 One has the option of going for the black plastic ones which are not attractive but very functional as they can swivel to varoius angles and fold out of the way when needed.

The chrome (its a dull aluminium finish really) ones are Taiwan made and not of very good quality. Adjustment potential is limited and they tend to break easily. They do look much better than the plastic ones.
