@F1engine swaps,... are you reffering to the CB 2.0 engine from the (type 2) van or the mental conversion which involves the impreza boxer?
@stormare you planning for a turbo???
@stormI was reffering to the later, but if the CB 2.0 is readily available why not. But there is lot of stuff out there for the Impreza boxer regarding turbo charging. I am sure it is there for the 1303s too.
@psyb0rgyup!
@F1i'd rather go for the CB 2.0 engne from a type 2 van but i can't seem to be able to find one so i'll probably just go for the overbore 1950cc conversion for my 1600cc engine.
I'd love to go for an impreza engine but i can see it causing alot of teething problems over here.
thats AWESOME!!
because of what i want to do with this car i'll have to do a pan-off restoration and reinforce a few points on the chassis, but it'll be well worth it when i smoke most of the cars on the road.
and you said you were goin 100% original
Theres this guy here in Karachi who has a Honda b16 on a Beetle chassis, and it handles all the power without any problems.
indeed i'm going 100% original but to that i'm going to add a few "things"
This is what you would be looking at with the EJ20 conversion
Header Tank, Water & Inlet Manifolds
Modified Water Mainfold
Header Tank and Over Flow Bottle
Water Mainfold to Main Coolant Pipe
Water Mainfold to Main Coolant pipe
Rear Lower Rad Hose
Thermostat housing
