thanks buddy, honestly they were my only choice, had to save up for a long time for them. these are "technically" the only rims you can/should fit to a post68 VW beetle.

Guess what, I have finally got the brandnew windscreen for my moggie & I paid only 3k for that. I am keeping the hunt for Beetle 1303's windscreen onn & will let U know incase I get any!

trying to source a set of rear drums, i'm getting new brakes up front from germany, but can't decide if i should get kabli drums for the rear or import a fresh set (alot of weight to carry).

right now my bolt pattern is 4x100 (corolla style) and my drums have alot of holes in them, not sure if i want to risk removing the bolts again and again to fix the PCD. it's probably safer to get new/kabli brakes,.. then i'll fit them. let's see how impatient i get...

for now i'm going to try and see if i can use the existing tyres i have (185s up front and 195s in the rear), i know they are a little wide for a 5.5 inch rims but i like the bulgy look on such cars. currently i'm using dunlop 702s,... not the best tyres available but good enough for the (sort of) lightweight beetle.

Today I am shocked, I assigned windscreen hunt to the guy who arranged 1 for me, he found that 25k windscreen guy (wouldnt quote the name here) who probably doesnt owns a super beetle & have picked that from Moqeem for commercial purpose. I am wondering how he calculated that its the last piece in market? What's the price in intl market?

Anyways, the hunt is still own & i have asked the guy that he will get extra incentive to find fresh 1303's windscreen in reasonable price!

i cannot thank you enough. yeah that windscreen guy is quite shocking. the thing is that he knows he has "gold" with him so he is asking "own" i guess,.. LOL!

i've spoken to romano and he said that it might be possible to get laminated & curved windscreen glass made if we can get a minimum order of 5 screens made. i'm tempted to pay for all 5 and then to sell them off at cost to cover the expenses.

VW owners are supposed to help each other out, not rip each other off....:@

Not a bad idea, but do get "storm" embossed as patent on each screen based on this template
