i'll be making some minor changes to the car which will make it look a little more like the hotrod it was meant to be and to distance it from its economy car roots....

you'll see in a few months.... (but before that i'll give alot of scetches)

What's funny is that in 1948 the porsce 550 produced 110hp from a 1500cc engine which was not too different from teh one foudn in the Type1, diference was that the "carrera" motor had 4cam technology. It was easily tuned to 155hp.

I'll be using the specs of this car/engine as a guide for my 1303's engine build.

good eye buddy. but i don't think i can transfer the registration of this car unless i can find someone in an embassy who can transfer it to their name and then sell it back to me sos that i can get new ISB registration.

till then i'm stuck with GT8515 (gujrat)

yah i really consider myself lucky since such parts are very hard to come by here. I had put everything on hold while i finished off "project 66" so now that it is back with it's owner and getting final tweaking i can start my 1303 project.

I know every project starts with alot of enthusiasm, and ends with disappointment, but i assure you all that this one will not fail to impress everyone who sees it.

Now i need to figure out how to import a set of 911 rims for it.......

I've run into a problem,.. should i go for a orange exterior with black interior or black exterior with black interior (i'll mainly be using this car on weekends and in winter so heat isn't an issue).

I need help deciding.

Orange=lambo orange/ 350Z orange with extra clear coats

Black=VW black magic pearl with extra clear coats.

Orange gets my vote. The car will be more eye catching in orange. And and about the interior, black is great with touches of silver here and there (Like aluminum)

As you'r Roadster was also Black, I think this one should be 350Z Orange.

i spent some time on photsho last night (i suck at it) and came up with a concept last night. it seems that it'll be orange (was worried that i might need gold highlites but i see chrome works as well).

i just did a VIN number check and here is what i found on my car:

134 chassis: built between 8/73-7/75 (most likely late 73)
AR-series engine: 1.3L built between 8/73-7/75 (44hp)
780KG from the factory
6x15 wheels
it is a 1303L (1.3L) not a 1303S or 1303LS (which is 1.6L)
125km/h top speed
8.8L/100km

I checked it against the number in my registration book to make sure it all matched up (as did the engine number)

Yup thankfully the numbers matched AND the number on my car is the originalone which was put there from the factory (had the chemical test done at the lab), it hasn't been edited or replaced onto another chassis (whew, that puts a MAJOR fear to rest)
