No matter what decals you put on the vehicle, they will still ask you what it is!
In time you will get used to it and start enjoying the attention, the unique factor is one of the joys of owning a vintage vehicle and says a number of things about the owner,
Mine just says that I am mad, and my family and friends would agree to that any day, I would too,
sad to hear about the steering box, expensive yes but probably not a very long job unless you have to go looking for parts,
Sadly I have owned my current project vintage now for several months but it still hasn't seen the road other than brief tests, and more tests and more tests and corresponding expenses, I'm sometimes scared to go to for the test and just admire the car, talk to it, appologise for what ever I have done in my previous lives before getting in,
but I always tell my friends a quote I really like,
"Sometimes the journey is the reward"
And at the end of the journey the reward isn't too bad either... yours is gorgeous!
