say what? ---- :).. on a lighter note today a colleague of mine told me about his short time in Lagos, Nigeria - they call the volkswagen "oos a jen" .. W124 MB was called V boot, W140 was called big V boot, W210 was called round V boot - the V boot is the shape of the cover of the boot. - hence the car is called V boot.

Sir Jee I Think U Took Me Wrong ... I Likes Mean The Old Style Classic Looks .. The Panel, The Speedo Meter Etc .. Well The Car Is Telling All The Story Itself Very Wisely .. No Need To Jump In To Have A Look Inside Now .. & I Knw U will Restore is So Perfectly That One Cant Stop To Jump In To Have A Deep Look At It Then ... Hope U Got My Simple Point

:)....You are right dear......That the style of the fascia is a real classic with simple round clocks.....typical of that era ...British....Actually inside story of the Dash was so horrible ......It was made /repaired with "GATTA" .....You remember we used to have on our books in school.....:).... I have Lost a folder having pics of all the goodies taken off the car .....At least 50/60 pics ......I forgot where I put it....It included the close ups of the fascia and inside story......As you said That car tells itself the inner story........I don't know how people can do something like this.....I mean restoration or even repair like this.... Will share the pics if/when I find the folder....

Lagay raho Rehman Bhai

I was very reluctant to start this restoration Saqib Bhai.....All of my cars are thrown .....I mean "LITERALLY THROWN"....Including blue spitfire,Lc,Z3 which I bought for driving but could hardly drive .......and red spitfire who's work started completed front end ,door glasses ,door cards....and work stopped due to my Bad health and "Un acceptable attitude" Of My Mechanic Raees....
So in these circumstances ,Buying another car and attempting to restore it ,is insane.....But I could not resist against the will of my son...you know...

You bet.. It was bad, I have been in the line of fire more than once, a few extened family members have been injured with bullet wounds or shrapnel from blasts it becomes part and parcel of life. I could not afford that anymore, so I left and now am pulling my remaining direct family out of the country. My other siblings live in the UK already. Life has more to than just fighting for basic birth rights.
