Asalam O Alikum everyone,
Im looking for expert opinion/ recommendation for changing the compressor of my cultus 2010 EFI variant.
The problem:
The issue is the same that every cultus owner faces. Cultus ac doesn’t cool on idle. While mantaining a good rpm or speed around 60-80 car ac works fine. Other than that in traffic or at idle its simply throwing normal air.
I bought this cultus 3 years ago and is in a very healthy condition apart from the ac. Cooling coil, evaporator and condenser are all fine.
The solution:
Went to three to four mechanics for opinion. Out of which two have suggested to use honda life compressor and stated that this compressor has lived its life (to which i agree to an extent). Cost break down is:
Honda life compressor : 14 k
American Gas : 6 k
Mazdoori : 4 k
Request: to all the experts out there, do you think this is a viable solution or will i just be burning money? I understood that the engine is less powerful but these new cars wagon r, mira, alto etc all have good cooling despite having a smaller engine. Also i haven’t found any thread particularly pertaining to this issue so any input will be a much appreciated.
