Btw this issue was never fixed.
Same sound on cold is there, cruck cruck cruck when I move my car. Sound disappears after driving 10-15kms. Comes from center or left. Got two other corolla grande fellows and they reported the same thing. Everyone says that it's from transmission k313 cvt as cvt chain has worn out over the time period. My odo is 185k kms and this sound started to come at 150k kms. It's been two years and no one can fix it or diagnose it. If it's transmission then transmission should have behaved odd or it should have failed it till now, but it's not even increasing or decreasing. It's just there when I move the cold car.

Checked each and every component of suspension and tightened it up as you said above, also changed all four shocks and front pair of shock mounts as well.

Updates: It's getting bad now.. i was told by many including Osama bhai that this crick crick sound while moving car from standstill is from the cvt.
Gear mechanics here says that it's a loosened up chain of cvt which can't be fixed, don't know much about it. Odo at 196k kms.
Now there is a new issue which is super bad, On high speed driving of highway whenever I apply cruise, no matter what the speed is, the rpm starts jumping followed by cvt shuddering real bad. Cvt is super making weird growly noise now.
Everyone has recommended that it's better that you change this cvt as it will fail ultimately on road. Found a reliable source in Islamabad to get it changed so I'll go there and get it changed once & for all.

Sounds like the torque converter has failed. It will eventually start making rattle noises on engine idle rpm too.

The shuddering at cruise is the tcc failed

I bet there is a ton of metal debris in the oil pan now.

I changed transmission fluid regularly. I made a mistake of opening axle of a hot car, nearly 50kms driven. One of my inner cv joint went bad and I opened it up in order to fix it.
Things went haywire from there.

I guess it does make noise at idle too as it's louder when transmission is engaged on cold or when rpm is around 1000 while driving on cold. Surprisingly it gets smoother after driving at least 20kms.
So yeah, torque converter is failing. Most probably it will die eventually while driving and transmission won't engage again. Will be changing complete cvt soon. Ugly transmission!

I guess if durability is a concern then one should rather opt for manual. Well yes, cvt might not last as long as conventional autos. My car is almost 200k kms driven and almost 9 years old now.

I have seen traditional automatics with more than 400,000 km of life
Don't get me wrong. I also drive CVT Honda but I have this thing in mind that they have crappy reliability and can break anytime once the mileage increases

They do have bad lifetime, but transmission will give you several different issues before failing.

Have seen CVTs with several hundred thousand miles.

Any transmission can fail. Good CVTs don’t fail as much as traditional autos.

50k kms is roughly 30k miles brother. Don’t open Toyotas CVTs this often - even in US most dealerships won’t touch it at least 50-80k miles. That is at least 80,000-100k km . Inspect the cvt fluid and change only if needed. In fact Toyota official service manuals don’t even recommend changing cvt fluid at such low mileages.

Most CVTs go bad because they get mishandled at some stage.

The issue with cvt maintenance is that its an extremely dirty transmission and produces a lot of metal swarf. It needs to be refreshed timely.

But it also suffers badly even with clean fluid and filters if driven spritely with high acceleration.

You read it wrong..i wrote 50 kms driven hot car
I had bad cv joint at 160k kms. I opened whole axle to repair it on a very hot car. Cvt gave several jerks and car turned off afterwards. Cvt deteroited badly afterwards.
For the latter part I changed cvt oils in past by following oem methods of temperature detection mode using techstream, so I wasn't a noob dealing with a cvt. Oil levels were always at optimum.
Even if you don't mishandle it, it will go away at high mileage way earlier then conventional autos.

It's a crap transmission, build to make more mantainance bills for the dealerships tbh.

Yes. I opened it up in a very hot car. 50kms driven in the month of July. (As gear mechanics said here that hot gear can get air in the system which can cause several issues)
When cv axle was fitted back it gave severe jerks and turned off at 80km/h. After that it started giving severe jerks upon moving. I went to Toyota Rahim yar khan afterwards in same condition. They told that it's nothing and you can drive it all the way to Lahore which was 600kms. Solution was to open oil inlet filler port and let the car idle for 30minutes. They literally don't know about the car they make.

Well I did travel to Lahore in same condition and rpm shooted up after 300kms. Like It was at 5k rpm on 100km/h. Got that fixed in Lahore by reflashing it, but strange issues came up afterwards and ultimately it got worse, for example, limp mode like behavior and rpm getting stuck at 2.5k which was fixed by changing speed sensor of cvt. Now after 2 years I have strange crick crick upon moving car at cold, jerks while cruising, severe jerks upon flooring between 5-6k rpm.

All transmissions have an air vent, yours has it too, its provided to take care of expanding air as the system warms up and cools down, and also to purge moisture out.

Yours probably was never diagnosed on what happened to it.

True, there is a vent, or breather tube, but I guess it needs to take out air in a specific amount of time. It happens with all sealed type gearboxes here, even in crown hybrid, gear mechanics here will never open axles on a hot car, they will wait at least 4-5 hrs.
Toyota dealership tried the best that I should get out of their dealership so that the transmission won't become their liability. Should have asked me to wait for a day and then drive on motorway, but they said straightaway that you can drive on motorway towards Lahore.
There was a guy here who faced same issue after axle change. I advised him to drive slowly within city, cool it down and drive again. His issue was resolved in a day.
Glad he saved his transmission.

@ahad5 car developed transmission issue by changing cvt oil from the dealership at an early mileage of just 55000kms.
