Recommended engine oil for Altis 1.6

Asalam o alaikum everyone.
I have been using havoline formula for last 10 years and i am satisfied with its performance. Recently, i have bought altis 1.6 and i wanted to try some other oil with a rating near to 10W-30 or 10W-40. I change oil after 2000-2500kms. Suggestions required.

Use 5W30. I have a 1.6 too, the company recommends 4.7 liters and its normal for this engine to reduce a little bit of oil around 200ml till your next oil change (5000km)

I would suggest 5w-30, and then at max. 10w-30 (if 5w-30 does not suit).

Ensure following irrespective 5w-30 or 10w-30:

1. Fully Synthetic
2. ILSAC GF-5 / API SN or SN Plus
3. 100% genuine and original
4. From some reputed brand

And why synthetic oil? I change oil after every 2500kms interval no matter what i change it. And guide me some best affordable oil. Zic has mixed reviews so i am doubtful about it. Toyota is recomending taglon but its 5w-50 and its very thick and for me who changes oil after every 2500kms i guess is not suitable.

Changing a fully synthetic oil after 2500 kilometers is a waste of money, you are better off buying cheap oil and burning the rest of money if you prefer to change it after 2500 kms. However, just like @basitali87 mentioned, go for a fully synthetic oil that is api sn, the viscosity should be 5w30 for such a new car and get the oil from a reputable source. And since you are loaded enough to change your oil after 2500km intervals, I would suggest you go for LiquiMoly, Mobil1 or Amsoil granted you change them after 5k kms. These are excellent oils and they last more than 5000km, even total quartz lasts 5000 which is relatively cheaper.

Yes thats my question too. And why synthetic oil and not normal mineral oil? Though indus recommends to go back to petron 20w-50 after 50,000kms which is a mineral oil.

I have used Zic, KIXX, LiquiMoly, Total, Valvoline, Havoline, Mobil1 and I can only vouch for these. Just get any oil that is API SN, 5W30 and Fully Synthetic. Expensive oils such as LiquiMoly have additives in them such as molybdenum etc, which improve engine life and performance, making these oils expensive.
