Recommended engine oil for Cultus EFI

Dear All,

I have cultus 2008 efi and need experts OPINIONS to use best engine oil which is better for engine performance as well as the fuel economy.

Last time i had used Toyota multigrade API SL/CF 20W50. it is good but i want to change this time.

also confirm about the difference if i will use high grade oil like 20w50 OR low grade like 10w40 or 15w40. which grade is better for efi cultus (mileage around 100k)??

some oils which i know....

Shell helix hx5 10w40 or 15w40
Petromin ultra 20w50 (some ppl said it is thick oil??)
or toyota one as mentioned above

firstly, go for any oil having viscosity 10/40.
20/50 is very thick oil and am quite sure that previous owner must be using havoline 20/50.
Anyway, try

ptt performa 10/40 and change it after 4.5k
liqui moly mos2 10/40 and change it after 5k.
Kixx has G1 in 10/40 viscosity. Change it after 4.5k.
Can also try liqui moly molygen 5/50 and change it after 6k.

Or

More economic would be Zic-M 15/40 and change it after 4~4.5k max.

Umar: Yes the Yellow one, Me to using the same working perfect for all these years, did switched to other in between but have to come back this one.

I use it max 2000 kms.

You are wasting your money man.draining oil at 2000kms on a petrol driven car-not good

bring her to the synthetic oils and she will promisngly producing a constantly good average.

if she reduces the average just after 2k, then its pretty direct indication that SHE IS NOT GETTING THE RIGHTEOUS OIL.

^^Since my car engine is based on 80's technology for this going for synthetic is useless, cause my car will not be able to utilize the full potential of Sythetic - again I will end-up paying more (Thats what I think)

I am using this Yellow cann from day 1. and like the results --- as you guys are recomending me to go more than 2K/oil ... I appriciate your concerns for this.

But I feel happy getting my ride serviced after 2K. another reason is also the dusty/humid weather of Karachi.

So Why would you go for another oil?

kixx g1 can be bought from any well known distributor of caltex. Because caltex has taken the distribution of kixx oil in whole pak.

Synthetic oils have replaced the mineral oils throughout the world. They are free from sulfur content, they cannot decompose to their elements even under extreme conditions and high pressures. They are usually presented as SAE 0W20, 5W20 and 5W30 (being the best).

The poster's car needs a basic high zddp mineral oil only

R u getting 12 km/ ltr with ac or without ac is this in city or motorway
