What is the recommended Diesel Engine oil for an old 2lte engine
Is engine ok? Is there any blowby?

Tau bhai... Jonsa oil use ker rahay hain wohi kertay raheyn. Kiu pangay may parr rahay hain?!A different oil type is only required if engine is getting weak, or started leaking oil, etc etc
currently I'm using Delo gold ultra.. but I think it's not synthetic..
I bought ths ride in January and then i changed the oil (Delo gold ultra) .. asked the previous owner .. he told me tht he had acquired the oil from ogdc. he dint even knw the name and grade..
Its a v.good oil. Keep using it.And like i said, only change type of oil when something starts getting bad. Else keep on using this oil.Change it every 2500km (max.)

currently I hv noticed tht it's decreasing oil.. the odo is 1800 and approx 1 ltr oil has decreased... Delo gold ultra is 15 x 50. .. how about Delo 400 tht is 20 x 50.. ?? pls advise.
Yes try 20w50. And if still it drops oil level (and engine is not giving any blowby), then get the valve seals changed.
done. wil do tht... after eid I wil be driving this to Gilgit and back. tht wud be approx 5500km... what would u advise... I change the oil with Delo gold ultra (existing) and keep 2 ltrs handy... and whn back to khi and thn switch to Delo 400.. i.e 20w50.
Shouldn't be any problem for the 5500km. Keep a delo 4 litre spare bottle just in case.But you did check that engine has no blowby... Right?Nor its leaking oil somewhere... no spots in your garage where tou park the vehicle? Right?
last eve I noticed little blowby.. white type of smoke.. but tht whn I pressed gas on parked car. at a traffic llight. but whn I cold start thr is no smoke .... no dropping at all whn parked..
Start the engine... Get it heated up for like 10mins. Open the engine oil filling cap and see if white smokes comes from there.Then press the Idle up button or ask someone to press the accelerator to 1200 to 1500 rpm with the oil cap remain opened. See if still white smoke comes from the oil filling cap or not.
checked it.. oil spills out .. no smoke... will Chk it again romorow

hope it's good to go till gilgit and back.
It can go to Russia and come back. No prob. Diesel engines are very stubborn.Just top up the consumed engine oil and always maintain the water /coolant level in radiator and reservoir bottle.Each time you open hood for engine oil measuring, check the water too.
