Recommended engine oil for Toyota Aqua

For those of you wondering about availability of 0W -20 fully synthetic oil, TOTAL is marketing it and you can find it on their petrol pumps. I tried it in my aqua and have driven 9000 km on it . No problems, good average.

Total 9000 is an exceptional oil , however its better to change at 5K interval considering very dusty driving conditions in PK.

Hi mate. I have been using TOTAL fully synthetic since 2009. In my experience , for a conventional car , the oil is perfectly well even at 7000. And considering that hybrid cars are generally driven in city where roughly 20% of the drive is via E motors, the oil is being used for 20% less than what the ODO meter is reading. But thats my experience, and you all are free to choose your preferred maintenance regime

Recommended engine oil for toyota aqua is 0W-20 ONLY, any other oil will only damage your car as hybrid petrol engine off and start many times during driving so it needs very thin oil, any oil thicker than 0w-20 will only damage your engine during frequent On Off cycles of hybrid engine thats why your car was strugling converting to EV mode
