Recommended Engine Oil for Toyota Vitz 2014

I have toyota vitz 2014 model import 2017 which is 35000 KM driven on odo meter, Currently I am using Shell Helux 5/30 Engine Oil for it. Please suggest me what is best recommended engine oil in your opinion.

I am using Toyota genuine oil tin pack 10w30. Good oil. Using for 2 years no issues faced so far.

5w-30 is an all rounder type oil. I will suggest you to stick with it. No need to shift.

try HX-5 10W-30 / or 10W - 40, change with oil filter and enjoy more silent engine with improved fuel economy

Viscous oil doesn't improve fuel economy but does improve engine wear and sound. Like i used 5W30 on toyota 1ZZFE altis 1.8 from day one till 3 lakh kms then after it i shifted to 10W40 and car still runs like a bullet. Does drink 0.5l after 5000kms. I change it on 5000kms

I didn't get the answer.
More viscous oil will cause more resistance to engine movement affecting economy. Engine manufacturers recommend grades of oil for their engines after extensive testing. If they say that 5W-30 oil can be used then using higher grade like 10W-40 will affect economy a little.

ours is a country with tropical to HOT weather variations 8 months a year. freezing or below freezing temperatures happen in non-urban locations for 45 to 70 days tops.

engine oil is recommended based on location. 0-30 may be needed in Azad kashmir from October to February in a 1KR FE engine for quick start and better performance,

but the same car with same engine in Gawadar will be noisy & fuel hungry in the same time frame if 0 -30 is used. .. viscosity of oil is to ensure better lubrication at optimum temperatures.

Engine manufactures recommend grade of the of oils which can be used in their engines with required level of lubrication and other uses. Above chart is of L13Z1 Honda engine. OEM is telling me that 0W-20 grade oil can be used in 40+ temperatures and is tested and proven to provide all the protection and lubrication required with better fuel economy than other grades because it is less viscous. No one knows about engine and its lubrication requirements better than OEM.
Let me know if I am reading chart correctly. Just for info, I have read that Toyota recommends and uses 0W-20 oil in many tropical areas around the world with climate similar to ours.

Generic 0W 20 can be used anywhere in any engine. be it a genset or a industrial wood cutter.

now you need to google for Viscosity and its affects over any liquid then search for density & momentum of high speed moving parts, so as to have a concept about how the viscosity of engine lubricant can improve upon fuel economy and noise of an engine.
