Extract the copper and other precious metals and things from the tech and sell each item seperately. You will make good money out of it.. Each recycling item has its own worth. Batteries, for example, sold for 190-200 PKR a kilo. The lead inside these batteries is worth of much more than that.
While tin and copper is easily removed in a kiln (supposing the OP knows how to be a blacksmith or greensmith), lead from a battery is not removed easily, specially when its soaked in acid.
Then comes the process of selling the metal ingots.
Doesn't need melting and ingots. The tech he has got to be some useful material. By the lead and battery I just gave example, no body make ingots here in Pakistan, though its not that difficult but need time n energy. If he can extract copper n circuit boards and sell them solo, he'll make enough money for the labor he did and its fun to do so rather than just asking kabaria to weigh the machines and price it for plastic.
