The hype around the upcoming redesigned 2019 CLS four-door coupe by Mercedes-Benz has been around for some time now. Till now, it has been all in black and white, but now the automobile manufacturer has published the teaser image of a real model for the first time. The luxurious Mercedes CLS steps into its third generation and will carry a new engine and advanced technology with it.

You are going to love the signature diamond grille pattern flanked by sharply-inward pointing LED strips that line perfectly with the headlights. Motor Trend was lucky enough to get a test drive of the vehicle and the images published by pubilcation tell us more about the design of the upcoming sensation even when it is mostly camouflaged.
For the car-geeks out there, the new CLS 2019 is underpinned by the MRA platform like the one in the E-Class, it will have the same wheelbase and axles, but the length and track will be different. It adopts the engines and electronics from the S-Class (current flagship) and will be sort of a ‘best of both worlds’ product. It has also been told that the interior of the new CLS will be unique to the CLS-Class.
The engine is probably going to be the most arousing part of the exotic vehicle, being 3.0-liter turbocharged, supercharged, hybridized inline-6 unit producing 376 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Mercedes-Benz has claimed the 0-62 time of the upcoming CLS to be 5.0 seconds spot-on.
Moreover, adaptive steel suspension and multi-chamber air suspension options will be available, but the standard suspension option will be the traditional steel setup in the new CLS-Class. A report also says that the Air Body Control system of the CLS-class is adjusted to feel more responsive and direct as compared to the plushier handling perimeters of the E-Class.
