U need to check with your local registration authority, some body told me such golden numbers are auctioned,

or sometimes auctioned within the couple of people who are involved they keep the number with them selves and sell it on there asking price. You can also contact the agents roaming around.

in Karachi, such numbers are specifically sold.
A random number of ur choice costs 5000 bucks.
A series number, like 222, 555, 777 costs a lot more, around 20ish, i think.

If number AND prefix (ALL, ASK, AMG) of ur choice, then anywhere around 80k ( when i asked about my swift 1328cc).

the amount paid varies with displacement.
A 1000cc car will get 777 for much cheaper than, say, an 1800cc car.

These numbers are auctioned. And before you waste your time, no one will be able to help you i.e. getting the numbers without auction.

The dates of auction are announced in newspaper. The next upcoming auction would be for LED-10 series after a month or so. You have to go there with copies of documents of your purchased car and can sit in the auction. In case you win, you have to submit Pay Order there and then for the whole amount and the auctioneer will give you a provisional number receipt. Then next day you submit the complete docs of the car along with provisional receipt and wait for the number plates to arrive.

777 on average would cost around 30k but if there is any other guy in the auction who wants the same number then the price can go way up. For example the most sought after number in triples is 666.Someone I know bought 666 for 35k while 888 for 55k only because there was some other guy after 888.

My cousin has them and he bought
RLE- 77 for 42000 for santro 1000 cc
RLC- 77 for 55000 for Corolla X 1500 cc
Isb- 77 for 92000 for Prado 3000 cc

All thes were retrieved by the process of an auction ( He had direct links there so that was just a formality though )
