open letter vehicles are considered BENAMI Property, previous owner have proof of sale and you have not transferred it which is a crime. Calculate the risk and do as you feel comfortable with,

Irrespective of the above mentioned factor, driving a vehicle without getting it registered / transferred in your very own name, is a bad thing, and can land one in great troubles (also considering the law and order situation, and actions by Excise and customs officials, etc. Now a days!)

If you have bought any vehicle, you must have it transferred / registered in your name ASAP. Why drive on open transfer letter? Considering resale may get down?

Open transfer letter p drive karna "Ikhlaaqi" taur p hi acha nai lagta!

And regarding resale, to a sane and sensible person, condition of car and clean documents with all the taxes paid, etc. Will matter the most (even if it has the history of 20+ previous owners)!

no. your old book already being submitted right? you are only going to get new book in the form of a smart card.
except that the officer see's the original file and gave it back at the same time. and also submit transfer deed. between we are talking about punjab or sindth?

Yes but i don't get it. Didn't you applied for transfer? Because you have to submit TO form for transfer. That is the form i was talking about before.

And what about transfer letter? Car was on open letter before. I've submitted that form too. Will i get that back
