Registration cost of fj40 2f engine

Guys whats the registration cost of 4000+ cc fj40 in karachi ? People are guiding me in different directions..... some says its 250K some say its 25K..... please help.... thanks....

I asked an fbr official and he is saying that registration tax is claimable .... so all the salaried people can talk to their HR and get it adjusted in the next year's tax (monthly adjustment in tax)...... will get it in writing from my HR and let you know here....m

every amount paid to federal govt [ FBR ] as withholding tax is ' ADJUSTABLE ' in final taxation at time of filing the income returns. always obtain receipts / certificate of paid tax - cell phone [in your name as on cnic ] bills, vehicle [ in your name as on cnic ] tax payments, utilities [ in your name as in cnic ] with WHT amount

@homeboy please tell us your previous experience of any DIY / rebuilt of a vehicle. - FJ rebuilding is not an easy task even for people with 'money only'. @fouadhafeez please share the basics of passion, required for a project rebuilding.

@capsat no experience at all and i aint a rich guy... not doing it because i can afford it... doing it beacuse its something i want to do.... i know its a very long process and 90%projects are never see restoration.... thats why i need guidance from the experts here

set aside a fictitious budget & start doing home work. grab pen & a copy. go through FJ restoration threads on this forum work out points as 1 to 999 ^

to begin with,

1. what shall be right price for the skeleton of FJ
2. the type of engine & transmission, its availability & price
3. electrical & body work
4. suspension
5. tyres
6. upholstery work
   .
   .
   .
   .
   999

now sum up the digits and carefully add 1 year as time frame to complete the project. - You want to take it on, or just smile and stash the copy somewhere

Skeleton::
what i have learnt so far is that a good skeleton would cost around 200k,

Motor & Tranny::
i would prefer keeping the stock engine and transmission because its not that tricky (would change the carb and distributor to a newer version). suspension i have no idea about, its cost of anything so thats going to be a pain for me..............
body work would be around 50K here

upholstery::
would be additional 30K if i get very nice comfy seating and all............

TYRES::

i have heard great things about COOPERS from @KashMan and alot of people.. but would eventually want 33'' MT tyres but.... would go with normal ones initially..

electric work:: i need to learn about that

Winch :: Is a good to have but not a must have.

i need around 400K to make good progress on the project............ the only thing i need to know is how difficult it is to take on a project and that too 1st project.................. because when i read about "Phantom and Unimog Panga (the first project i think)" it so overwhelming to see how they celebrate each moment and how good they feel owning something so great ........ it might cost high or low but doent matter.......................

@capsat i just came back from Frosticar........... FJ came in couple of days back from pindi and its not for sale....... it was in decent condition had almost all the parts and no major rust was visible except on the flooring...... i will keep looking and let you know. thanks
