Actually, the problem is the budget, I came to know that even If I swap D17, it will cost me as minimum as 2lac for proper setup so that's why I am thinking to stay with my current D15b and will do some bits like remapping, sports filter etc. to make it little better. What's your take on this?

2 lakhs for lousy D17? better get a nice clean F20B dohc or H22A dohc.

I believe that includes suspension, brakes, mounts, condenser etc. If you still think it's not right estimate then please suggest a workshop where I can get an honest estimate of a professional swap.

Suspension, brakes or AC are not related to engine swap. All of these are different things, for engine if you go in D series then my recommendation is D15B or D16Y8. Else go for F20B or H22A Dohc, if budget allows. If you’re in Lahore take your car to Allmotor and get estimate from them.

D15b isn't underpowered, far from it rather. Why do you "need" more power? Or is it more like a want?

@rajaahmed96 @dayrider I think, for now, I need to wait and increase my budget, so I can go for F20B or H22A otherwise spending money on D15B or D16 will not be much fruitful.

it's better for you to stick with d16. because for H and F series it's not just an engine. you need many more things. As those engines are heavy. Again we can meet and talk about it.

Asalam-u-aalaikum Brother. I got a D17a swapped in my 1996 Honda Civic.
I just needed some help with the AC. Is there any way for me to communicate AC switch on with the ECU to increase the RPM's on AC?
So far I haven't seen a reliable solution for this problem. I know in the 2004-2006 civic it is controlled using the Multiplex control. Obviously I don't have one in my car. But looking at the D17a ECU wiring pinout, I see a wire marked as AC Clutch.
I don't know where to connect that wire. Would really appreciate the help

Ac clutch pin of ecu provides ac clutch low signal and adjust the rpm. Edited.

AC clutch high signal? Is it a digital signal or an analog 12V signal? Because as I mentioned, 1996 doesn't have a Multiplex, I could provide the pinout with an analog signal directly from the AC Thermostat, but I don't know if it could damage my ecu

No it provides a low signal to Ac clutch relay when AC turn on request is received from heater panel.
