Renovation in Progress: FORD CORTINA 1964

I bought this Ford Cortina 1964, Islamabad registered, with all original accessories. The car was in pretty bad shape but now I have started it's renovation.... Denting is in progress and almost 80% has been completed including new flooring, pieces on side shoulders and back trays... I have also got very good quality new chrome on all parts, and brought Rubber fittings for windscreens and doors and for entire car from Karachi..

Before I start the paint work, I am Posting few pics just to get your opinion about What PAINT will look good on this car? I would appreciate your opinion as this would mean alot to me.

Oh i know this car. Belonged to a neighbour, a Captain in the army then (Street 37, F-7/1) - Would look very nice in solid shades of either sky blue, biege, navy blue or gray. Would like to touch base in April as I visit Islamabad. Where are you getting the work done?

I'd love to say something like British Racing Green, or a navy blue. Maybe even a dark red?

Thank you all for your support and good comments... I am also thinking about British Green or Tomato Red/Cherry Red (new vitz color) because I think that Chrome parts would look appealing with these colors. Anyways I am getting the work done in G-8.
Can anyone help me find the one and only missing monogram of "cortina" on front bonut? I would really appreciate that. I shall be posting more pics as soon as I get some more work done. Regards, Jawad Shah

Dear All, sharing some more pics just to update you on the progress. Original Engine (1500 cc petrol) has been completely overhauled and now it is in perfect running condition. Exterior paint, accessories are 90% finalized. Only interior work is 50% remaining and then the car will be ready for Ride to MIANWALI

MASHALLAH Zabardast Sir very nice two big thumbs up for making this car lovely.Sir the Color which you have selected is very attractive and sharp i like it I had the same color Datsun Cherry recently restored..You made me Remember of my Grandfather's Ford Cortina i was not born at that time but listen a lot about it my grandfather kept it for 4 to 5 years .I am talking about mid 80s it was in off white color if i could find some Pictures i will post.My Auncle from family brought the workshop Manual of Ford Cortina for my Grand father which i still kept it with me.
Sir Please Continue with it and make us update about it .Please show some interior pictures and availability of part's in Lahore of Ford Cortina is up to some extent you can also check.In lahore there is also a ford cortina in mint condition and a person selling the green one from Peshawar you might have checked it on Pakwheels? Right now posting some Workshop Manual pictures sorry about the clarity of pictures

Surprising choice of color but looks good in pics. Waiting to see the finished product with wheel caps, whitewall tyres etc. Cool car

THANK you all for appreciating my efforts of restoration. The project is in completion phase and soon I will post the pics with Alloy-rims, all monograms and complete interior.
