Thinking of adding on-grid solar to our rental property. Would the installation cost be completely tax deductible? Would it come out of the 20% allocated for maintenance etc or would this be additional tax deduction?
investing your own resources over rental property is not recommended. The tax / billing benefit is transferred to the person whose name & cnic appear over the utility bill.
The meter is in our name. Investing because we raised rent as well.
sir @mrdeejay thats' quiet generous of you. a sensible tenant shall not hesitate to pay comparatively high rent in exchange of uninterrupted subidized electricity.
