I want to replace the fuel filter as the user manual says after 65k kilometers replace fuel filter i went to 3S dealership Toyota capital motors from where i get my maintenance done, they said replace the complete fuel filter assembly which was of 19980 rs but my few colleagues got the only fuel filter replaced from their mechanics in just 3 to 4k only n they've not complained about anything after such activitytill now. Upon telling this thing to mechanic of 3S dealership he said he'll never recommend to replace only fuel filter coz after doing this car will get starting prob on & off after sometime. I want to know the opinion of experts on this n secondly if someone knows the place to get geniune fuel filter in twin Cities please recommend that too.

Fuel filter cost 10 to 15k from outside at my dealership it was for 44500 no such thing for 4 5 k
I think you are talking about only the net filter at bottom which cost 4 to 500

I got fuel filter from partscentral. Toyota fuel filter costs 9000rs, complete fuel assembly and js asakashi made in Japan costs 3000rs for filter only.
I am using the latter one, works fine in my case.

For catalytic converter: liqui moly catcon cleaner cleans it all.

If u see in the first picture it's the only fuel filter, replacing only this costs u 4k whereas in the second pic it's the complete assembly of fuel filter which 3s dealership is selling for almost 20k

Toyota doesn't make filter only, either its complete assembly or filter of some other brand.

Cleaning civic turbo catcon cleaner at every 15k kms with liqui moly catcon cleaner which needs to be poured from intake.
