@mafiadog sir suggest me any dealer in karachi who sell genuine Fuyao windscreen for premio because i have heard they are placing fuyao stickers on local screens also.

@mafiadog also guide me about installation 3 years ago i installed kabuli windscreen in quetta the denter used i think low quality silicone after installing the windscreen i heard some wind noise at high speed i don't want to face it again after installing new windscreen.. and i'm not buying kabuli screen again because last time i bought it had many scratches

there is no such thing as fuyao stickers etc. You should look at the logo , it should say Fuyao on the logo which cannot be copied or reprinted . In Karachi, you can visit Amjad Auto Corporation at plaza since they are the distributors for Fuyao glass in Pakistan.

You should never go for kabuli screen either unless it's a necessity due to unavailability . For doors and sometimes rears too kabuli are the right solution but not always and never for the front due to scratches .

I think it's best to visit your local market to see what kind of silicones they stock , i'm sure you will find many. Wind noise has nothing to do with silicone , that's mostly fitting issue . Always check for water leakages few days after installation , THAT is silicone issue.

I saw sikaflex being sold for 1000 rps in the grey market some months ago but i would advise to go for fresh silicone vs lot wali ya old ones . They all carry expiry date , better to take opinion of the windshield installer since it's their everyday job.

Just got fuayo windscreen for cultus 2016 from amjad auto
Initially hearing wind noise at 80kmph but i think as silicon is wet it will disappear after a day or two
But the outside noise has significantly increased as now i can hear my horn clearly when i honk it. Lets see after a few weeks

Looks like there is a gap in the silicone sealant somewhere. You can wait see a few days if it disappears, otherwise the only proper solution is to reinstall by properly cleaning the old silicone and repasting the windshield with automotive grade silicone.

All these installers by default use the transparent furniture/household glass silicone, you have to specifically get the black automotive glass silicone and make them use it to paste the windshield.

This is a common issue that usually happens replacing windshields. If the old silicone is not cleaned properly it leaves an uneven surface and makes it prone to have holes and gaps when new windshield is fitted.

I have a fuyao glass windshield installed on an 8th gen civic too by amjad autos but the only thing different I did was got my own silicone and made sure to properly prep the surface before the new windshield was installed. There is no whistling sound and it feels just as quiet as before.

Ideally, there should be no whistling sound since day one if the windshield is properly seated with no gaps. You may wait a few days and see if it goes away otherwise take it back to the installer to fix it.

Remove your adhesives from the windscreen and check for noise . If still there is noise i would suggest you do the water test to see if silicone has left gaps.

Whistling noise has dissappeared and have also performed water test. All is ok now except outside noise while driving has substantially increased

It's natural to notice outside noise once glass is replaced , we tend to notice more. Since Cultus doesn't have any accoustic features in it's windscreen it is prone to outside noise. If weatherstrips weren't replaced and everything else being the same then it should sound familiar inside. I don't think there's anything else to produce or lessen more noise unless we alter the lamination inside the windscreen which is the case in more luxury cars.

I recently lost my defogger and radio antenna in the rear windshield of my Corolla Gli 2012 model while getting it tinted..I know I sound stupid..I did warn the guy about the grid lines but he said that were inside the glass and he just **** it all up while scrapping the old tint paper off of it.

I'm so heart broken Please let me know my options.. I'm in Rawalpindi.

How much a new Fuyao windshield would cost? Should I check the 2nd hand ones as well? I plan to install it myself as I have replaced the front ones in a couple cars already. Will need your recommendations on the glue tho.

@mohdusman22 Dear Usman , nothing to be heart broken about. It's completely ok and people go through the worst so all is not lost. You have the option to keep using the same windshield (don't fix what ain't broke) and reapply the tints leaving the defogging function as people rarely use it but in case you are a regular user of the function then I have messaged you the number to contact for fuyao in Rwl.

Also, what's the expected cost of the glass? I just received the following quote from madina glass RWP.

Try looking for defogger repairing paste. Should be available in big cities or consider ordering from aliexpress.
