Hey fellow pakwheelers!

Just looking to upgrade my 88 honda civic from a 1200cc 4 speed auto to a 1.5 or 1.6 (auto or manual, but preferrably auto). I haven't had a chance to go to shareshah yet, but I probably should. Anyways it's good to keep your options open. So if anyone is selling a 1.5 EXI or 1.6 VTI engine please let me know. Thanks!

Y u want to put 1.5 EXI's engine...go for 1.5 Vtec one...power + economy.Just a brotherly suggestion. Choice is yours.

does the VTI engine have better fuel consumption then EXI?

quite honestly i'll be running it on CNG, so keep that in mind which motor would you prefer?

Yea I was thinking the same thing faiez, 1600cc engine will obviously consume more fuel then a 1500cc any idiot can tell u that.
Just wondering which one is better on CNG.

if u want economy n not power as wonder guy said for for a exi or vti engine,if u want power d16 isnt a good option,y mes up a performance engine on cng,better to get an engine made for economy

but there isnt much differrence in economy in these engines, very minor differrence...but still noticeable to a kanjoos...

get d15b 3-stage vtec, it gives economy and power both..

woah! come on now, lets not deviate from the topic.
Dude when it comes to my 88 civic i'm quite kanjoos! I spend all my money on my 62 vw bug. The reason i bought the civic was becuase it was automatic, had an a/c and cng. But i now i'm beginning to see the potential in my civic, so who knows i might do something to it as well. I don't know if my car will look nearly as good as some of the others i have seen on PW. But for right now i just wan to go for an engine swap just to get a lil more kick on CNG, not for racing or anything.

Be that as it may, It's money well spent

Vw is for sale (filed under Volkswagen) but not because of money issues alhamdulilah. Just running out of parking space at home.
