Romano is your man..he knows where the car is parked..big secret...LOL He will get it for you. I just checked the pictures and I notice it has some surface rust but nothing a good buffing with a cloth roller can't fix.

thanks. Not much progress on the split except the body getting a coat of primer to prevent rusting. Denter gets distracted easily......paid him another installment of moola two days ago and he hasnt touched the car since....I have been busy too so havent been able to follow up.

look what I found! This a mirror stem (no mirror) but has the longer stem for the drivers sun shade... The arm is pitted pretty bad in some areas but can be used.
..things I have bought at one time or another and don't even remember...

Its very simply made - I think one can replicate it with an angle bender, small hammer and dolly - the only missing bit would be a ball joint and mirror.

I just uploaded the picture again. It is working now. This is a perfect chance for Xulfiqar to impress us all. you have the perfect base to work with. My offer to take the one off my Oval stands. I am sending this on Saturday. Now just so you have a sample to work with, I am also sending the mirror and visor that is for my Oval. Please return to Romano after taking pictures or measurements.

I have followed Mohsin's restoration of the fire engine in Peshawar so I have no doubts that he can. In fact I knew of a person (sadly he passed away, May he rest in peace) in Rawalpindi - Ustad Dora, who could do it with his eyes closed and one hand tied behind his back...He made some trim for my Ford capri and I just sat there on the floor of his shop watch in amazement as he worked his majic.

@Xulfiqar, I have rung a few bells in my time - good and bad. I sure hope it is the good one that you remember me for. PM me and we can share e-mails

yes, from pictures it looks pretty simple to replicate. Finishing of the end product will be the key.

yes, Alhamdolillah the body sills up is very solid and original, hardly amy patch work on it since new. Because the car was lying on a garbage heap sort of, the floors and the under body rusted very badly and thats the area I am working on.

All the bubble wrap and precautions but the visor cracked as i was packing it in the suitcase to send to Pakistan. @Mohsin..now its all the more reason to find the majician who can make these in Pakistan.
