This is a manufactured-by-hand decklid by a dentor in islamabad. Inaam is his name and he has been hopping workshops. He is an extremly talented workman but has a bad habit of disappearing on his clients. (especially after receiving payment) If you can keep him at one spot by paying him just enuff he would do it...pay him all the money and he is gone.

This bug was blue when it was first done up in G-8 Islamabad. I have a picture where it can be seen partially hidden behind another car.(in front of the yellow Honda Civic)

i saw a 66 beetle for sale in saddar rawalpindi tomorrow. the owner says it has original engine with cng installed on it. from what i have heard you can not install cng on original engine. is it true?

have you noticed the extent of rust that we have had to encounter and fix. It seemed unending but the end is in sight....this car will inshallah not see rust ever again...

Splitty is happy to be back in the workshop and Muntazir looks happy too, but Splitty is disappointed due to no interest in her by the VW fraternity in Pakistan....hardly receiving any messages on this thread.

thanks for your post. Yes people did notice the Splitty with interest but were confused. Connoiseurs were delighted to see it and we chatted standing next to it. Some very serious car connoiseurs are pleading that I should not paint the body....this was my idea by the way....so I am thinking to do just that. Finish the body as smooth as possible and just coat it with lacquer.

A lot of ppl tell me that visit the thread regularly but do not post any message. Posts from visitors of this thread is always welcome
