No. U dont need to adjust them if they r according to factory specification. Usually road side mechanics install wrong spark plugs thats why I suggest u.
Chalain I will try pouring some injector cleaner in the tank to look for any improvement.
BTW which car you are talking about ? Because these Toyota 16 valve A series engines are not smart enough to hook up with a scanner as they are OBD-1.
As I was not sure about the presence of fuel filter. So removed the fuel pump assembly just to make sure that the filter is there or not.And Yes it was there & was also in good condition.
To my happiness , fuel tank was also clean internally. There was no rust etc.
Clutch was not working smoothly, pedal was soft but it was not releasing smoothly. So I went to my mechanic to get the clutch oil flushed/replaced. This thick black mess came out of the clutch line, so I asked the mechanic to open the clutch slave cylinder & clean it internally.
After cleaning & fitting back things, bought this Seiken Dot 3 brake oil & poured it in the Clutch oil bottle.

Did a 350 kms long drive yesterday & it returned the fuel avg of almost 16 kmpl with AC ON all the time & 30 mints of idling with AC.Consumed 23 litres in 350 kms ...Drove it within 80 to 100 kmph range !Happy Moments

how is it giving 16. Prius does 18 which is a hybrid and newer car compared to this. I think you are missing on something
It took me 18 days to be exact, for all the engine swap, wiring, body swap, denting, painting ...Baqi performing DIY's every weekends, not counting them.
