After resting for 2 days, we decided to lift the front end & do some work which was supposed to be done earlier. It was in my to do list from the very start but due to shortage of time, was still pending. Now during these quarantine days, bhai k paas time hi time hai
The area under the battery was deteriorated due to the overflow of battery acid, the surface was rusty but not something serious, just surface rust.
So the plan of action was :-
- Make some room in the front end (to work comfortably)
- Clean/wipe down the area with soapy water
- Sand it well to get rid of rust
- Apply primer
- Apply matt black spray paint
Removal of front end done
The area under discussion
Took this pic after a little bit of sanding, just to give you guys an idea of before-after.
Pardon me for not taking the AFTER pics of sanding process although it came out really well as I was expecting more damage
Primer Applied
Same goes for the coolant reservoir holder
And then we also decided to paint the front lower gadri, it wasn't rusted etc, we did it just for aesthetic purposes as it is somehow visible from the front bumper's lower grill.
Left side is partially done while right side is final product.
Once again PARDON me for not taking pics of final product i.e. battery tray area, reservoir holder.
