Restoration of Fiat D-600

Best of luck Junaid bhai, hope so the car reached safely. Now i am also looking for a beetle, have one with my friend hope so i`ll get it. any ways missing Fiat....... my family and friends are missing it. i had no plans to sell it at this stage but Junaid Bhai was crazy about it.

Hahah yes I think the shape is a classic, but tonnes of work is still left. Hopefully I can come up to your expectations and restore it as if it was brand new.

Finally the car is here in Lahore! Going for a complete body resto. The car will go to the body shop in a day or two, wil be dismantling the engine, the brakes and the suspension and all other accessories along with it. Nasirs denter had done a good job on the body, just going for a minor detailing and then to the sand blasters. The car will go through a complete sand blast inside out and then to the painters for a complete underside anti rust coat and primer spray on the top side. Will leave it like that till we get done with the new brakes, new pipes, new suspension.

Managed to get some parts for the FIAT from my recent trip to London. Got a Moretti lighter and an Abarth gear knob along with some original reproduction Abarth Decals.

The Austin has its work started and will be sending the Fiat as well in a couple of days. Will be posting pictures soon.

I am glad Nasir bought the speedometer before he sold the car to me, otherwise it would've been next to impossible to find one for this one. I probably had to import it and it would have cost me an arm and a leg. hence counting my good luck I decided to have it restored.

The meter was cut out of the dash of poor car which is probably scraped with some kabariya. Will remove it from its cut part and have it opened. Have already handed it over to a master electrician to have it all opened up and give the plastic casing for repair and then sanding and then having a coat of primer sprayed till I decide what color to get the car painted in.

The instruments will all be serviced and a new plastic front will be fabricated to replace the old one. Hope it turns out like brand new.

Yes it will be nice but need proper time and care. they guy who sold this meter has cut his car into 2 parts...... front is now a sleeping bed and the rear portion is serving in guest room as a sofa.

This looks like the dodge D 11, if im not wrong. And if its the same car then it really is a find. Try taking some pictures of the car in question and maybe we could put it on the VCCCP thread. Im sure somebody there can identify it.
