Restoration Of Original/Specimen Spitfire

And another interesting stuff...

Some previous owner fitted a small rear seat and tried to make 2 seater convertible into 2+2...lolzz:D.

and made four holes in both of the rear inner wheel arches to fix that seat ...

resulted in something like this.....

This is right rear wheel arch upper two holes...also deteriorated the surroundings..

And lower holes drilled.

left inner wheel arch with drilled holes...by tightening the seat bracket,surrounding area was distorted.

Just see this sad pic........some one made holes with welding torch....

First of all a little denting of lower holes to straighten up the surrounding area..

A little more detailing.....

Welding/closing the holes with very fine "Welding tip".surrounded by wet cloth to avoid heating surrounding area.

Another pic of welding closing those undesired holes....

Closed those Undesired drilled holes neatly.....

Another view of right rear arch...lower holes closed and upper yet to be done....

And some detailing/denting after welding/closing the holes..

Upper sied was finished with file and lower with grinder.

Now welding from underside to achieve neat results ...

Some denting of surrounded area which was distorted by tightening seat bracket....

these details are not required because all these areas will be hardly visible after upholstery etc,But as you know that no compromise on details (even hidden)..
