Right quarter valence removed..Some previous owner coated underside of both quarter valences,underside of front wheel arches and firewall with battery compound to protect them from rusting...good effort..But I wanted them to be painted in same body colour..

so like this there was a thick layer of battery compound on them,as you can see in the pics...

Battery compound and paint removed from underside of the left front wheel arch...showing unharmed/rust free metal .....

there was a small pocket of rust (not very deep) but I treated it with vinegar..I was looking for malt vinegar but could not find one....

both quarter valences being cleaned with kerosene oil and paint remover .....quite thick layer of battery compound...

Quarter valences are being cleaned....coating of battery compound/bitumen being removed with the help of Kerosene oil and paint remover....

Bonnet holds which some previous owner installed,are being removed...They were simply the rubbers feet found under the chair..good replacement.:)..But I sourced genuine/original ones..
