Just tip: use some insulating material in the rear cabin and on the engine coverand then carpet it, you will feel the cabin quieter and A/c working better due to less heat penetration. I do this to most of my Mid engine company vans.

discs were stock in 86 onward liteace/townace and we got our hand on a very good pair for 2000 Rs. one ball joint hole was different but we used the arm from old drum setup and after some mix and match it was done withouit any alteartion and cutting etc.

Differential is also from a liteace.

Ashfaq bhai i will definately contact u about insulation material coz original insulation is tearing off from places and i need to get it done in a good way.

Have you ever thought of going to Peshawar for the said project. You will get a large variety of parts for such vehicles and cheaper than any other place. (Just an idea)

parts are never an issue so far.
i only got stuck with front headlights.

The one which we currently have are available easily along with every fitting, but my cousin want to put in square headlights which came in 86-89 liteace. Those are hard to find.

Parts are not expensive either, 5300 for full suspension (each and everything) 2000 for clean pair of discs, calipers, pads, 4000 for an amazingly quiet and clean Differential. Thats not costly at all.
Engine was alos not expansive 19000 with gear box.
Rear lights 800 Rs. for both
Parking light and indicator 300 Rs. each.
In short parts are not a problem, neither the price

No compromise has been made on originality so far
I am stuck on round headlights and my cousin is stuck on square headlights, Thats the only thing we need to figure out

We thought about Going to peshawar but everything was available in pindi so dropped the idea.

The insulation is the same insulation used underneath the hood of the car but without the foil, or you can use foil also. And then this is joined with the carpet. This is a good heat and sound insulating material. There are other material which are used by Audio philer for sound deadening. but I am not sure if they are available in Pakistan.

Paint facility will be provided by Nissan Islamabad Motors and denter is located just in frnt of it, coutesy of Toyopet from Karachi. Saw him on CNBC on 14th as well.

The square light u mention is it the one big square light that came in 86-88 liteace or the twin square lights that came in masterace 86-88 ??

Surprisingly km20 82 model lights and panels are available at 3 shops and CM31 are not available anywhere

Arid pics will make no difference coz all work done is mechanical, Diff. Disc brakes, engine etc.

body work will start tomorrow, he has not started work today

given you've used the 1c engine, is it the 1.8 litre one ? more over do you know what the origins of the engine is ? what did toyota put that in as a genuine part ?

Regarding the insulation I just found out you can purchase it from Pakistan also. It is insulating material used for cars under their hood. You can purchase it from any spare part shop in the market. I do not know what they call it but has an aluminium foil on one side. Then you can carpet on top of this insulation for best heat protection and sound deadening

1C is 1.8 litre
Came in corolla 82 to 92 i guess. Liteace/townace, corona. Both front wheel and rear wheel setups in different models.
These are the ones i know of.
Not used by toyota anymore. 2c an 3c are used in its place

@spectra, thanks for that info. for some strange reason i've heard ppl say it was used in boats. but I didnt think that was the case.
where are you getting the denting/restoration done ? pindi or isb ? and where in particular ?I like the work they did with the engine so curious tou know where the shop is located.
