whatever suspension you put in, please derust and paint it - so it looks like exactly like the VW-werk job

Would definately get it cleaned after getting it in hand and will get it painted afterwards, a powder coated paint job would do best imo.

Update: Bought the following items yesterday, couldn't post them last night as I was really tired.

• Gearbox seal
• Brake drum seals
• Brake drum washers
• Master cylinder boots
• Brake drum springs
• Torsion bar rubber bushings
• Rear brake pipes
• Front brake pipes
• Brake line (one set, have to get four more)
• Clutch fork
• Front shocks bushings
• Speedo/grease cap
• Steering coupling
• Engine bay fuel pipe
• Brake fluid (I got two bottles of Wagner brake fluild which the guy at the shop said were original not locally packed, but once I showed them to uncle Fredrick he said the bottles are from the US but the brake fluid is locally pack, will have to return them aswell).

Update: The engine got a test start on Thrusday I was told it was running well, but the battery died after 4-5 minutes of idling because the battery used was too small. Will test start the engine again in a couple of days with a new battery and will hopefully make a video aswell.

Bought the following stuff last week but didn't get time to post it, here is the list:

• Fan belt
• Fan shrout air pipes
• Brand new engine oil cap
• Steel brake pipes (5)
• 1.5ft of fuel pipe
• Original Bosch fuel filter
• Original Bosch distributor rotor
• Four exhaust clamps (one came out to be German!)

The front suspension beam and four brake drums I need will either be arranged tomorrow or on Saturday as the guy who has them is moving into a new shop and is busy with moving stuff.

Have to get steering box bearings, a pedal assembly and a couple of more steel brake lines ASAP.

Let's see the date stamp at the back of the speedo, if at all possible. Is it Dated 68 or 67?

That is exactly what I am thinking to do! Give it that hoodride look, get some dropped spindles and a wooden roof rack . Or I might just go for a Matte Dark Blue paintjob.

Haha, I wish you can't get them from anywhere in Pakistan. I would have to order them from the US, but I would never ever go for local made ones. Dropped spindles are indeed expensive but would get them some day some how.
