The above mentioned details are showing that remaining mechanical work is not as much time taking,, so now it seems as nearest to get finish because all the fitting work is left not any sort of repairing or replacement...

my 68 speedster was matte black for 1 day in 1999,... Didn't suit it so we polished her to a shine and then hit her with more clearcoat.

As you can see the engine bay is painted and ready for the engine to be installed, the man you see on the right hand side is uncle Fredrick he's behind all the mechanical stuff related to the Bug.

Primered dashboard, door sills, area underneath the dashboard, inner door borders.

Did you remove the steering column to get complete access of the underside of the dash? The little area between the column and the body gets neglected pretty easy.

Thanks, no I haven't thanks for reminding me about that. I'll give the painter a call and let him know.

Work done:

• Center insulation tar board fitted, the remaining two pieces of the board will be installed afterwards

• Front and rear shock absorbers fitted

• Front brake lines fitted, need to buy a wide brake line for the connection between the brake fluid reservoir to the brake master cylinder

• Brake master cylinder fitted

• Final body scrapping done, smoothened the areas where there were lumps and grooves

• Need to get a bracket made for the brake reservoir to fit in place

The long screw I bought for the steering damper isn't fitting, will have to get another one now.

The first actual base coat of the paint will go on either Saturday or Monday.

Brake master cylinder, see that little white plastic nozzle? Look at the opening, that's were the other brake line will go which will connect to the brake fluid reservoir.

They were fitted quite sometime ago, they've become dirty from the ends due to bodywork. However the mechanic did fill them up with grease after fitting them.
