They dont fill the whole tube with grease. Only the arms and leaf springs are greased. They have their reasons.

hmm - how ghetto are we talking about here, I believe these mechanics rank among the same lot who fill transmissions with used gear oil collected from junkyard transmissions.. How much is a tub of grease and a gun anyway??

Thats exactly why they have written "Service/WorkShop Manuals". You & your "MAC-hen-ic" need one badly.

Probably you also would need a translator for translating the manual in JATKA language to make him refer to it.

Go for matte finish to get something different...

@reezvaan is right if I go for matte I can get it re-painted in clear coat whenever I want too. Matte it is

Get some local rubber boots to replace the torn boots. Something is better than nothing. By the time the brazilian ones arrive your ball joints are going to be trash

He did it in front of me. He didn't put the grease inside the tubes.

I have told Iqbal bahi (Cheap Autos) to get me a pair, he said he will update me soon on that.

microscopic hands??? the grease is to be pumped in the whole tube, it takes quite some pumps..

I will do that myself once I get it in my hands. There is ALOT to be done once it's with me.

Updates: 16-6-2012

As Blue was parked, overtime it received some dings and dents here and there. The painter was busy doing the patch work on the exterior today.

Paint is to go on by next week, HOPEFULLY.

BTW guys, after seeing @lazeez's beautiful Beetle last Sunday I am having second thoughts on whether to get a matte or clear-coat finish.

Suggestions please!

Looks like I got here just at the right time go for metallic paint in matte finish!!!!

If I was spending my money then I would go for the original single stage paint and feed it lots of glaze - the clearcoat finishes give a plasticky shine while the original SS finish with TLC gives a warm organic glow that has no words to describe, BUT its harder to keep up with.

Blue has FINALLY been painted!

The finish has turned out to be quite nice. Could not take pictures because I didn't have my camera in hand and I was coming from elsewhere.

So, tomorrow I would be at the workshop getting stuff fitted. The interior parts have been painted as well. So, has the interior itself.

I need an electrican who can do the complete wiring. If anyone knows someone good, call/text me on 0345-3339515.

A very freindly - (bhaiyon wali hidayat) for wiring would be to print the diagram in large format in color first, then inspect your car for the wire colors and thicknesses and connectors, now go to plaza and buy the wires in the exact same color the manual says. Regular spade connectors can be bought by the dozen too along with their casings.Get some looming sleeves, proper heat shrink tubing and a good 60W solder iron with a roll of rosin core solder, Once you have all your ducks in a row then you can either do it yourself (its cartoonishly easy) - or get an electrician to follow what you say. Not the other way round.Do not use oversized wires in a circuit as it hurts amps, and please do not use the ghastly colors our local "parts ki dukaan sell - There are 3 or 4 shops in Plaza that sell wire rolls in proper colors - and are very high quality too.

you have 2 optionsbuy a genuine VW unit from nmshaikh if he has one OR - make your own one that uses spade fuses, - here you have more than 1 option too, buy a fuse block for a tractor or buy individual fuse holders that are keyed together so become an array.original VW one would be the nicest way and still have the original look, the spade one would be a custom job requiring some skills to make it neat and clean, it can easily become to look like a cobweb.
