LOL! What better an awarded name would be than a "Kabari"? But my mother has derived even more names out of my night shifts with my Vdubs as I mostly work on my cars in the night (even at this moment I am working on the wiring looms on my new project, The 1979 THING - read abortioning messy jatka wire looms). And you better know what those could be. LOL!

hmm kabari is a nice one - I have gone through many - how does "crack" sound. - "mad scientist" - aaah - the joys of removing hack job wirings, I used to fight those a lot in Pakistan.

^^ But you do know why its needed,

make the relation into something that you use your brains and their hands. - for experience of a correct heat riser - ask reezvan - he decoked his engines riser and saw a great difference.

When I decoked my 1302 one - that car was flying down the highway with the classic VW fweem at an even higher pitch. For some reason I loved to run it on the highway.

I would love to share my experiences - and if someone made a video it would be r21+ rated for language. You have no idea the sheer stupidity Ive come across.

anyway - I made a few line testers myself with a used up dollar marker case, a few button batteries, an old MM test lead, some wire and a clip - makes quick work to check wire continuity. Best for such cars is to remove the wiring from the car and make it on a bench - test and install.

It's been quite sometime since this thread was updated.

Since then I have managed to get the entire carpet done along with matching floor mats. Wasn't able to get anything done due to shortage of time but I am trying my best to fit everything on now.

I'm fine. Hahaha, no it's just that I had papers going on and wasn't getting any spare time to get work done on Blue.

Remaining stuff left to do/buy:

• Fit all remaining exterior parts
• Fit all remaining interior parts

• Paint oil bath air cleaner

• Buy a pair of door channel rubbers

• Buy a pair of headlights and chrome rings

Dont strive to make it as original as u can start project with a concept to make it as efficiently working as much it can be using latest thing in it where possible do alteration ..yes interior & exterior looks should be maintained as original.. its great thing u r doing..

I personally am not a fan of alterations. I appreciate your commment, trying my best to get it done ASAP

I have made a very hard decision but I am parting with the Beetle now.

The car has had the following work done to it:

• New gearbox foundations
• New clutch plate
• New pressure plate
• New axle boots
• Complete greasing and paintwork done

I won't negotiate much, the car has costed me triple the amount I am asking for it.

I would like to get this as original what cost it will be estimated?
And; is the beetle could be the daily used car?
And as I am the beginner I also like your suggestions regarding maintenance and fuel average?
