Making impression on the same ":so called" water proof hard board.....
And some tricky/curvy cutting.....
Marking for the boot lid stay rod.....
Boot side board in rough form..
Some more markings to cut for precise fitting......
Have to remove these small portions....
View from other side......
This piece was wasted because we cut it wrongly from rear light cover section....:(.Starting all over again...
This was the wrong cut.....no compromise on precision....
Rear left light cover in place to have correct measurements.....
And boot lid stay rod on the left side only....have to make a room for the base clamp in the side board....(only left side)..
Some final drawings......
And cutting started.....
Cutting in curves with conventional wood saw is not easy....
A closer look....I asked Raees to cut sparing the lines so we can do some "fine tuning" after wards with file or sand paper....
Cutting the rear wheel arch section.....note that the line is visible after cutting....
One done and other in process.....we made four of them for both cars.....two with stay rod notches (left side) and two plain (right side)...
Some filing to achieve smooth edges.....
And almost final board.....(left side).....right side is similar minus the room for the boot stay clamp....
Nice n clean fit....isn't it... will be removed and carpeted later on the completion..
