thank you for coming to the show and making the event more colorful with your beautiful Spitfire. My apologies for not being able to spend some time with you as I was hounded by people from all around and was grapling with serious technical issues with Jaguar and Lincoln while the show was on. Lincoln's battery had exploded while jump starting it before the show and I was running around to get a new one made - it was a public holiday.
I agree with you that Pakwheels has constributed greatly to the car enthusiasts and is a fantastic platform to share our common interests. However, i do not agree with you on the fact that all clubs i.e. including VCCCP owe their fame etc. to Pakwheels. To a certain extent yes, but VCCCP has always kept a low profile and not gone for much publicity.
Hanif Bhai is known to me much before Pakwheels was launched and infact I remember he once took me for a drive to discuss this website. What he has achieved is remarkable and I must salute his vision and perseverence.
Before starting the thread here on Pakwheels, VCCCP was known to atleast two past Presidents of the country, to the chief ministers of 2 provinces, governors of two provinces, to the leading media...Dawn wanted to sign a deal with us for being media partners, Punjab Government wanted us to hold int'l events sponsored by them, Then CM Parvaiz Elahi invited me and held meetings with all important secretaries....an oil company wanted to sign a 3 year deal etc. VCCCP owes its fame to its own existance and the events that it has organised over the years. Before starting the thread on Pakwheels, VCCCP was known to classic car fraternity in all parts of the world and I had attended car rallies internationally representing VCCCP specially 3 events in India, twice as Chief Judge of their annual rallies in Mumbai and Delhi.
As or Pakwheels not having a sticker.....ask Hanif Bhai and he will tell you that he has an open offer from me to place his banners at our events and they usually do.....free of cost. But the initiative for that has to be taken by Pakwheels. This was just to put the record straight.
Secondly I was expecting you on the Isb drive.....Punk said something about VCCCP members attitudes....please let me know your feelings as we are all about enthusaists sharing each others experiences and promoting brotherhood.
