Restoring 1988 Pajero

I have a 1988 Pajero, A/T, runs on original petrol engine. The car is in pretty bad shape so I've decided to restore it completely.

I want to replace the engine with a petrol one (car drives beautifully with it) and install a new transmission.

My question is: I think that the best way to get these parts would be to import them from Dubai (I go there often for business). Does anyone have experience importing auto parts and accessories from abroad? Is it a pain to do so? I have never had good experiences dealing with customs here in Pakistan so I am worried that trying to get those original parts will be more trouble than I need!

Any comments?

Asalam u Alikum I bought pajero 2 door which have rusting areas around the car in different places. I dont want to re-paint whole car as it has original paint. I like remove rust and danting areas that need filling.

I want to ask in karachi where I can find good denter painter who can do it in low cost. It come to my knowledge that shower will cover those rusting area.

Please advice good denter in Karachi and what will be the roughly cost.
