Work had paused for a few days but resumed yday. At the time of completion of the initial bodywork , the left rear wing was about a cm out of true and not sitting flush with the body. It was removed prior to trial fitting the beading and the expression that sometimes " you can't see the wood for the trees" came to mind!
At some point this little bug either got rear ended or was driven over something nasty ; the metal on the lower extreme corner of the body was buckled and has had to be straightened which has been done since as the pics below will show.
Sometimes, I wish I could be content to just putty over such defects..........after all, just who would be the wiser??? The answer : Me.........and that kind of throws spanners in the way of any shortcuts taken based on laziness!!!
