I went to honda point a few days back beecause i need to get some work done on my 03 city, no doubt tht they hav the latest equipment n all but i hav my reservations abt their color matching techniques. they showed me one of their projects, an 07 civic. it appeared to b nicely done overall but had some minor flaws in the denting.
upon inquiring abt their color matching techniques, they told me they would do it under sunlight :S no spectrum analyzer or anything. so for now i decided not to do anything to my car. do let us knw abt the final outcome. many ppl hav recommended me javed autos. i hav seen his work and it is exceptionally well done. infact i m taking a frnd's '10 coure for some denting work to him, lets c how the final result comes out to b.

@ devilz_apprentice, yaar please let me know what flaws have you seen in the denting.... i would really appreciate that.... secondly there is no issue in color matching... they do a computer match aswell but most of the times car colors do get faded after some time... final matching is done under sunlight as you get the best match...... no doubt javaid autos is one of the best in town but they also follow the same procedure.... I need your valueable feedback

No offfense to anyone but my personal experience is that honda's paint job sucks.. they have the worst color matching experts, i got my bumber scratched and had to get it painted thrice from honda fort before it looked satifactory to me.. and this is like 3 weeks ago.
as for the charges honda charge 3700 for paint of one piece .
javed is an EX honda employee who started his workshop opposite PEPSI factory in lahore some 15 years ago , and is by far the best denting and paint person i could find. he charges 5000 per piece but he is actually superb.. all the supra's and 350z's and merc's go to him and trust me u cannot tell which pieces of the car are painted once the work is done..
i have personally tried both of them.

@ Zainkh yaar if one dealer is doing a bad job that does not mean all of them are doing bad. All 3S dealers are independent ... javaid autos is gr8 but if you are fond of cars and have technical know how you can easily identify which piece is painted whether it is painted by javaid autos or any other good paint shop. coz there is no exact match in a redo.

rest when my old car will be done you are most welcome to visit and have a look at it and give your valueable comments

obviously the grain is missing in a painted part which is there in the original paint, but most of our cars have undergone compound several times that removes the grain from the original paint anyway..
BTW i would love to see your car ,and would like to show you the work done on my car by javed.
P.S honda fort and honda sales certainly are not good if u want good paint, maybe honda point is better than them.. peace.
also please share how much is honda charging u for the denting painting.

@Zainkh yaar come visit honda point work shop and see their equipment and paint booth.. they have good tools and techniques to do things.... and obviously all that matters is maintaining the quality of work you are doing and refine it during the passage of time which javaid has done during the last 15 years... and honda point is new and it has maintained its standard uptill now...
