Basically, my denter/painter applied it with a brush. I bought the rust converter for around 500rs per 0.75 or 1 litre. But it was instructed to wash the application area after 24 hrs of application. A silverish white film was formed on the parts were slight rust was present. and aster/primer was directly applied over it as stated by the denter.

Today morning i searched auto shops in the "Chaah Sultan" that is one of the biggest auto markets in Rawalpindi/Islamabad. But surprisingly i couldn't find "Rust Converter" there. They even didn't knew about it.

I will visit some good automotive paint shops in the city and definitely buy a good rust converter. I have strictly asked the painter not to do any kind of work unless this rust converter is applied thoroughly. He seemed happy to get some time to work on other cars in the meanwhile

Cavity wax is a very good idea and highly practical at this time. I don't mind if even a week or more is spent in these protective activities.

rust converter is a karachi item , KK traders will have it (they have a website)

You should have gotten a used roof

Cavity wax is available with autohub

get a wire brush for drill machine or grinder, use it to remove rust till bare metal. no rust is tolerable when applying primer

Yes, till now i couldn't find it in Rawalpindi. Tomorrow i'll be on a mission to find it somewhere in the auto paint shops or hardware shops. Last option will be to get it from KK Traders Karachi.

I wasn't able to find a used/kabli roof. Do you see any apparent problems with this one? Are any issues visible?

Apparently after denting there wasn't any deep rust. Also because most of the parts are new. But due to one recent rain there is some surface rust which painter will remove with sandpaper/regmaar. I have a plan to apply rust converter after that.

Hi Guys, Hope all of you're doing well. I was very busy with the office stuff and workshop chores so couldn't post any update here. Also a bit of procrastination

So i dropped the idea of "Rust Converter" after not able to find any where in twin cities of Rawalpindi/Islamabad. I however made sure proper sandpaper was rubbed and the bare metal surface was visible.

When car was handed over to the painter i emphasized and made sure that he applies sand paper to all the surface rust visible and i asked him that i want bare raw metal color visible of the car which you can also see in the picture.

Effort continued by painter to make the surface as much clean as possible and also prepare the car for applying primer/putty etc.

Somewhat ready for primer/putty stuff...Also i decided to change bonnet and i bought a Taiwanese which is visible in picture as well...

Also i decided to apply "Berger's Auto Shield" on the floor both inside and outside. I heard that it has anti-rust and anti-corrosive properties and it also decreases the sounds and vibrations. The floor of my car was dramatically in a comparatively good condition. So after getting it washed and cleaned i went for applying Auto Shield.

Also thankfully the paint has been applied. The car is completely painted now. And the denter and team has started fitting the stuff. Also the engine has been washed and installed. The car is in started condition now. Just windscreen and some other minor stuff needs to be installed. I will share the latest pictures soon.
