@bro i m using havoline formula red one that cost 1260 rs for four liter pack with a guard oil filter that cost 100 rs for my KHYBER and i change both things between 1500 to 2000 km
now the problem is that when i drain the oil out its so thin and its like water no gravity at all , tell me y is that and in this case will there be any sludge or depositys in my engine

dear i already posted my message nd u replied to it,dear i m using caltex havoline SAE 20w-50 nd i used to change it after 3k kms,my car z 48k driven ,tell me 20W-50 z gud for my car or suggest me what u think z better for me..i have cuore nd i used to drive me car on cng nd my mileage for a month z approximate 1k.

Havoline formula is 10w-30 and its a thin oil but because its synthetic as per my mechanic it gets thick as it gets old which i dont agree with.

For cars older than 4 years its better not to use synthetic oils the basic concecpt as far as i know behind these thin oils is as the engine technology gets better so does the engeering and the size of internal engine parts and also bearrings and all so thin oil is better for modern engines.

As far as engine flushing is concern well its better to change engine oil under 5 k than flushing ur engine.

I use Havoline/Quartz 5000/Zic Hiflo (Jiss ka mood ho) 20W-50 in my car and change it after every 2000km in summers and 2500Km in winters.

20w50 is too thick!5w50 is jus fine im using it in my alto n civic!20w50 n other high vescosity oils prove 2 b harmful for the engine in the long run coz it makes ur engine work alot harder!u lose performance n mileage!

Contaminants are deadly enemies of an engine. They enter with the air flow and are also generated by the friction of metal against metal. These facts may astound you: for every 100 gallons of gasoline burned in an engine, the following by-products are produced:

90 to 120 gallons of water

3 to 10 gallons of unburned gasoline

1/2 to 3 pounds of soot and carbon

1/4 to 1 pound of varnish

1 to 4 pounds of sulfuric and nitric acid

wow .... so if v keeps on running our car without flushing our engines v cn conserve alot of water thre will b no water shortage thn

salam i have a honda city 2007 i used honda genuine oil then shell n now zic a plus. I wanted to revert back 2 honda genuine oil coz i give car 2 honda 3s dealer every 5k kms n i think manufactures know what is best for car.... so i want an opinion of u guys. plzz help. n do tell me which 3s dealer is good for mechanicl(exceps south) n which is good for body n paint. i want best quality paint

bhaijaan ur going to messup ur car aap semi synthetic seh fully synthetic dal rahay ho n den u want 2 go back to semi synthetic! honda ka engine oil is semi syntheic and its vescosity is different than zic! zic is fully syntheic! yeh toh aap apnay car keh engine keh saath khayl rahay ho ur upgrading and den down grading the oil! its better u stay with zic a+!
and if u want a really good paint job goto yazdani motors!

yar i dont know if its available in lhr if if its not aik dosra engine flush ata hai by the name of WHIZ ENGINE FLUSH u can use that!

Friend. I own baleno 99 done 140,000km driven on petrol and i never had used synthetic oil but planning to pour in one now. The engine is in good shape with no problems. Can I use this product and will it be safe as you have said in earlier posts that its not recommended for old engines. My car's engine is not overhauled. Thanks

my saviour from sludge is a well maintained PCV system and using MANN or Donaldson oil and air filters in both my own cars.

Honda Accord 1989 (engine is clean as a whistle even after more than 300,000kms)
VW Golf mk2 diesel (this engine cant make sludge)

both use caltex dino oil fresh from the depot drum - changed at every 5 or 7k depending on the use of the car

Need advice guys.
I want to use Castrol magnatec in my corrola 2003 se saloon and 2007 gli.
Both have been using Shell helix hx7 for the first 2 years and hx5 after 2 years.
se saloon has done 110000 km and gli has done 55000 km.
I have been of thinking of flush/cleaning both engines and using Castrol magnatec.
What cleaner should i use and is it safe to use on both cars?
And if there are any suggestions regarding the engine oil.Will there be a significant difference in changing for helix hx5 to castrol megnatic or should i use any other oil.
I need your advice regarding both cars.
