no prob bro!btw which oil u using?the 1 tht i recently bought liqui ki site par likha hai keh this oil can b used upto 15,000km b4 draining! phir acha hee hoga!quite expensive though...likun such kharchas on oil etc pay off when its time 2 overhaul coz then a very mild overhaul is required coz thru out the cars engine life its been fed with good quality oil so wear n tear is at its minimum thus acha khasa $$$ bach jata hai overhaul mein!
@ aamirqbro im using shell oil,dono the model name,its the middle 1 amonst 3 avalible for petrol,costs approx 1000rsfor how much did u buy that oil?
u using the blue shell?bro my mechanic gets alot of weird cases of cars tht hav been using shell lubricants n hav had their rings worn out coz of the oil!heh tum guess marlo oil kitnay ka liya hoga! ul freak out if u come 2 know the price...i bought it for 3250rs mobil1 ka dabba use 2 cost me 2400rs!i see it this way even if an ordinary engine oil daba is for 1100rs which is 2b changed at 5k why not pay 3k in 1 shot n get it changed at 15k km!upar seh yeh faida b hoga keh superior oil hoga better than ordinary oils n dimagi sakoon b hoga keh acha brand oil dala hai! liqui moly n mobil1 r nose 2 nose in the competition of who has the most superior oil in the industry!yani liqui moly,mobil keh takar ki oil hai!but judging frm the reviews ive read liqui is a lil more superior 2 mobil
@ aamirqyea bro the blue 1 i guess:Dall i remember it says it can run upto 5000kms:Pwell ur v rite abt that part bro,ill try getnig this oil next time,i have to take my car for the 5000km company chk,i think il change it then if the present oil isnt in a good shape
@aamirq
Do you use special oil filter which can go upto 15,000 km?. For my VW they recommend a larger oil filter which can go upto 15,000 Km without any problem (using 5W40). I usually change my engine oil around 12,000 km.
wen i bought this oil the man even showed me offical faxes tht were recieved by liqui frm porsche,audi,bmw,daimler,merc,mini etc approving their oils for their rides! yar try using a less vescosity oil for ur ride ull feel more performance n increase in mileage! coz as i mentioned b4 using a 5w40 is as good as using a 10w40 bas farq yeh hai keh 5w provides far more better cold startings in winters n even when the cars engine is just plain cold coz uve left it parked for 4-5 hrs!in a way u can say 5w40 is a all season motor oil!ive been using it since almost 2 years now n never faced a problem of ny sort...pehlay 5w50 aistaymaal kar raha tha n now ive switched over to 5w40!n its even been proved keh using higher vescosity oils reduce car performance n lead to an increase in consumption!n changing oil vescosity has done me more good!pehlay dimaag mein weird thoughts atay thay keh engine bhayt jaiga car smoke dehgee blah blah blah likun nothing happened!coz crap cant happen if u knw what ur dng!
@fm01
yar idar itnay achay oil filters nai atay so what i do is i change my oil filter after every 5k!this way im able 2 pull off the engine oil life using 3 oil filters in total!
idar jo achay oil filters atay b hein such as k&n they r too expensinve 1000rs for 1 oil filter...besides this denso etc keh atay hein for civics but for my car ya toh local atay hein ya vic keh!i use 2 buy bosch oil filters for my car but they ran out of stock later on n never ordered more again coz of sum conflict between the vendor n company!the bosch oil filters were good they use 2 easily last 7k!
Well it is a very good idea to change the filters at 5K.
1 question .....using a low density or low viscous oil can cause wear n tear ..... cz the thinner it is ,the less it will lubricate .. is tht true ???
no ulta it will provide more protection when the engine is cold coz it will be ready 2 pump n flow the moment 2 turn the key!where as in 10w oils n above wear n tear does takes place the first few seconds or less coz oil thanda ho kar thick ho jata hai n a low vescosity oil is just like water in the engine it doesnt thicken tht much compared to a 10w!n as far as protection is concerned when the oil reaches its normal operating temperature it provides the protection that a 10w40 wud coz the right hand side value of the oil is still the same only the left determines the weight!sab seh patla 0w hota hai but 0w's even provide maximum fuel saving n minimum oil evaporation rate
bt wat abt whn u r running ur car at high RPM ... ?? i cn cause wear n TEAR
@ahmed
yar in simple layman terms a low vescosity oil is ready2 flow even at room temperature!
i try changing my filters at around 4-4.5k max coz i doubt the filteration quality of the filter n upar seh over here driving conditions can b referred to as "severe" meaning stop n go driving conditions,frequent short trips,excess idling etc etc upar seh itni mathi dhool keh if we cud get compressed air blown on our lungs the way we blow it on airfilters then we wud blow compressed air on our lungs 3 times a day!
nai even at higher rpms lower vescosity oils provide superior protection compared to higher vescosity oils coz for eg if ur using a 20w50 or sumthing like tht n u drive at high rpms till the certain extent the oil will remain protecting ur engine but then there comes a point where the thin flim coating thts preventing ur parts frm wear n tear cant take it anymore n it tears open thts the nasty part where all the metal grinding takes place!n the reason the film tears is coz oil mota hota hai n its tolerance level is not tht high compared to a low vescosity oil!besides this yar aur bee 100 cheezein hoti hein such as oil flash points etc etc!
m talking abt HIGH REv ... whn the engine oil is at high temp ,it becomes more thinner ... it means Pani hi ban gaya na ... tb lubrication tou kam hogi hi na ... waise no doubt consumption achi hogi !!
heheheh who said it becomes more thinner? kabi koi high vescosity oil ko bhaga keh toh check karo high speed driving karo for around 15 mins stop the car n check the dip stick ull b like abbay oye mera oil kidar gaya?coz ur dip stick will show oil as good as not being there coz the oil is thick so it sticks 2 the sidewalls n everything n it takes time for it 2 drip back down frm the piston tops n other various parts n after 5 minutes check the dip stick again ull notice keh reading sai ah rahi hai ab!where as low vescosity mein after rash or high speed driving the dip stick will only show a small % of oil missing frm the dip stick which can b rechecked after 5 mins n the missing oil level will hav its oil back! n @ high rev/speed the oil can only become as thin as its made 2 function coz as i sed b4 once the oil reaches its normal operating temp it will become patla!
n yeh ur talking abt paani ban gaya,this can happen in 1 situation more when the oil almost reaches its flash point n it breaks down losing its properties(usually this is the part when sludge is formed)...but b4 an oil can reach its flash point for eg 230c the oil evaporates coz if the oil does reach its flash point there is always a hazzard of a fire starting hence b4 it can reach its flash point the oil is made 2 evaporate....
hehe ! m nt saying k aquafina bn jae ga .... m saying thinner tou ho hi jae ga pehle k muqablay me .....
@ aamirq
bro i hv a 1.3lancer on cng,,,,,its only 7k driven,,, does it need engine cleaning???
secondly suggest me the BEST synthetic engine oil , with specs , for my car,,,,i wud appreciate if u cud post the pic of that oil bottle.
@pico
yeh u can clean ur engine...jo b thoray bhoohat deposits hongay nikal aingay besides its always better 2b safe than sorry!since ur car is even new agar engine flush kardo dobara 0 meter wala engine hee ban jaiga in a way!well best synthetics mein u can use mobil1 or liqui moly...i use 2 run cng on my car too b4 i removed it n i remained using a lower vescosity oil such as 5w50 n it worked perfectly well as a matter of fact i got an increase in cng mileage too!besides cng is very harsh on the oil n the conditions become very demanding!jitna behtar oil itna itna acha for ur car!yeh jo log boltay hein use 15w blah blah for cng aivi boltay hein jus 2 increase sales its just a marketing gimmick!n there is nothing such as a cng oil dats just a way of shell n caltex 2 fool ppl into buying it!there r special oils for cng n lpg too but they arent available in pk i guess...liqui moly has a special range of oil for cng/lpg vehicles!check their website for details!
